    Morning charter from Lusaka to Busanga airstrip. Open vehicle transfer across the floodplain to camp — the plains stretch to the horizon, lions watching from the termite mounds. Afternoon orientation drive.

  2. Busanga Plains

    Day 2

    Full day on the plains. Lion prides hunting across the open ground, sitatunga in the papyrus, roan and sable antelope. Sundowners on a termite mound at the edge of the plain.

    Light-aircraft transfer south to the Kafue river. Afternoon boat safari — hippo pods, fish eagles, the chance of leopard coming down to drink at the river's edge.
