Nsefu Safari Lodge

The original safari sector, kept the way it was found.

Norman Carr opened the first photographic safari camp on this stretch of river in 1950. Seventy-five years on, Nsefu still feels like the way safari used to be — quiet roads, fewer vehicles, the bush itself doing the work.

We run the lodge with a small, long-tenured team. Walking safaris start at the door. Game drives reach corners of the park most operators don’t. Dinner is served wherever the day ends — on the deck, on the riverbank, or under a fig tree we’ve cleared the table to.

Suites

8 thatched suites set apart along the riverbank for privacy and quiet.
