Morning charter from Lusaka to Mfuwe airstrip, 30-minute road transfer to the lodge. Afternoon game drive in the most game-rich corner of South Luangwa. Sundowners on the floodplain.

Two-part day: morning drive at first light, brunch back at the lodge, siesta, then a long afternoon drive that continues into a night drive — South Luangwa is one of the best places in Africa for spotting leopard on night drives.

Full-day walking safari with one of our most experienced guides — South Luangwa is the birthplace of the walking safari. Bush brunch on a sandbank, an unhurried walk back, late-afternoon return for sundowners.

Morning transfer by 4×4 through the park itself — a game drive in transit. Arrive at Nsefu in time for a late lunch. Afternoon walking safari directly from the lodge.

Day 5
WhereNsefu Sector, South Luangwa
Nsefu was the first photographic safari camp in Zambia, opened by Norman Carr in 1950. The sector still feels that way — quiet roads, fewer vehicles. Morning walk, evening drive into territory most operators don't reach.

Choose your own day — sleep in and join the afternoon walk, or a dawn start with a full-day expedition into the more remote reaches of the sector. Farewell dinner on the riverbank.
